Auto Dealer Bonds

Oklahoma law (47 O.S. § 583) requires motor vehicle dealers to post a surety bond before receiving a license.
The bond protects consumers and the state from fraud, misrepresentation, or failure to comply with state regulations.
If a dealer causes financial harm to a customer, a claim can be filed up to the full bond amount.

State-required bond amounts for Oklahoma motor vehicle dealers:

  • Used Motor Vehicle Dealer & Wholesale Dealer — $25,000
  • Used Motor Vehicle Dealer Auctioneer — $50,000
  • Motor Vehicle Rebuilder — $15,000
  • Manufactured Home Dealer or Manufacturer — $30,000
  • Additional Lot Location — $25,000

Bonds are issued on a two-year term and expire December 31st of each odd-numbered year. Premium rates start as low as $175 for a two-year term.

City of Oklahoma City Occupation Bonds

In addition to state requirements, the City of Oklahoma City requires its own occupation bonds for dealers operating within city limits.
These bonds protect consumers and ensure compliance with local city ordinances.

  • Used Trailer, Used Auto, Salvage, Used Parts & Accessory Dealer — $1,000

These bonds are required for businesses that buy, sell, trade, or deal in used automobiles, trailers, salvaged vehicles, or secondhand auto parts and accessories within Oklahoma City.
Premium rates for this bond start at just $100 per year.

Contractor License Bonds

Contractors in mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and nonresident fields must post a bond to protect consumers.
If a contractor causes harm or fails to follow regulations, consumers can file a claim up to the full bond amount.
We help you meet these requirements efficiently.

State-required bond amounts regulated by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board:

  • Mechanical (HVAC) Contractor — $5,000
  • Plumbing Contractor — $5,000
  • Electrical Contractor — $5,000
  • Cement / Concrete Contractor — $5,000 (varies by municipality)

All bonds must be continuous and payable to the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board, with 30 days’ cancellation notice required.
Premiums start at $100 per year.

Contract Bonds

These bonds guarantee that a contractor or business will fulfill a contract’s terms. This group includes:

  • Bid bonds
  • Performance bonds
  • Payment bonds
  • Maintenance bonds
  • Supply bonds

By offering all types, we ensure your project is protected from start to finish.

Subdivision Bonds

These bonds ensure developers make off-site or public improvements in line with local specifications.
They are required by municipalities, counties, or state governments for public works.

Commercial Surety Bonds

We offer bonds that guarantee many non-contract business obligations. This includes:

  • License and permit bonds
  • Court bonds
  • Miscellaneous bonds

These bonds ensure a licensed or permitted business fulfills its duties legally and ethically. With these in place, you build trust with regulators and clients alike.

Notary Public Bond

Oklahoma Statute §49-2 requires all notaries to file a surety bond as part of the notary commission application.
Effective January 1, 2026, the required bond amount increased to $10,000, valid for a four-year term.
This bond protects the public from errors or wrongdoing by the notary.

Premium rates start at just $50 for the full four-year term.
We make the process simple — bonds are issued quickly with minimal paperwork.

Process Server Bond

Under 12 O.S. § 12-158.1, any individual seeking a private process server license in Oklahoma must file a $5,000 surety bond running to the State of Oklahoma for faithful performance of their duties.
The bond is filed with the county court clerk and must be renewed annually.

Premium rates start at $50–$100 per year. No underwriting or credit check is required in most cases.

Security Guard Bonds — Armed & Unarmed

Oklahoma Statutes 59-1750.1 (CLEET) requires all security guards and private investigators to file a surety bond before obtaining their license.
Bond amounts are set based on license type:

  • Unarmed Security Guard / Private Investigator — $5,000 | Premium starts at $50
  • Armed Security Guard / Private Investigator — $10,000 | Premium starts at $100
  • Security Guard Agency — $100,000

Before cancellation, the surety company must give CLEET at least 10 days’ advance notice.
We make the licensing process smooth and help guards and agencies stay compliant.
